In-Town Solitude Retreat Saturday, December 7, 8:30 a.m.

In-Town Solitude Retreat will be held at NYAPC from 8:30 to 12:20 p.m. on Saturday, December 7. We will feature: labyrinth walking, mandala drawing, meditation and lectio divina in the Sanctuary. If you need a break from the hectic pace of the Holiday events, please consider coming down to church to slow down and focus on the sacred part of the Christmas season.

First Sunday FaithTalk, December 1

Join us at 5:30 p.m. to discuss what Advent means to us. For details on location, to RSVP, or to be added to the FaithTalk email list, contact meghouse8@gmail.com. First Sunday FaithTalks are informal gatherings in members’ homes to discuss issues of faith. All you need to bring is an interest in faith, a willingness to discuss, and a donation for a take-out supper!

2020 Stewardship Campaign Update

Thank you to the 132 individuals and families who have pledged so far for the 2020 Stewardship Campaign! We have $629,178 pledged at this time, 90% of the way towards our goal of $700,000! Would you like to contribute to or help assemble care packages on December 3?

Care packages are sent each year to our members who are away at school.  If you can help assemble these packages (Tuesday, December 3, 10 a.m. at the Dewhursts’) and/or would like to contribute food items for the packages, please contact Miriam Dewhurst (703-560-0871 miriam.dewhurst@gmail.com).  Suggestions of possible recipients are also very welcome.
