Young Adults Who are the Young Adults? We are members of the New York Avenue Presbyterian Church in our twenties and thirties. The Young Adults group gives its participants the opportunity to make friends with others of their age within the church, helps new members integrate into the church, and provides opportunities to explore faith and to discuss issues that are not normally talked about outside of church. We regularly gather for fellowship on the second Sunday of every month for a pot-luck dinner. These Second Sunday Dinners are laid-back and casual, and they provide an ideal opportunity for new comers to meet young adult members of NYAPC. Other fellowship opportunities include retreats, Bible studies, service projects, book clubs, and movie nights. We've also had informal brunches after church, beach parties, and camping trips, and we're always looking for new ways to come together. Many of us have experienced the frustrating challenge of finding meaningful work in a new city, and we are hopeful this group will help both new and old members put their God-given talents to good use. If you wish to keep up with the activities planned for the Young Adults, whether you are a member or not, you can email Sarah Barclay at sarahelliott915@gmail.com.
