Deacons

Coordinates the outreach, social education and action ministry of NYAPC. Work includes outreach to the homeless (Radcliffe Room, Christ House), tutorial programs (Community Club Study Hall, CAPs), socialization programs for the mentally ill (7-2-9 Club, McClendon Center), outreach to the elderly (Meals on Wheels, Geriatric Day Care Center), international missions (Njoro Orphans, Cuba partners), urban housing (Presbyterian Disaster Assistance in New Orleans, Habitat for Humanity), and other cooperative inner-city missions. Deacons also have responsibility for ushering at church services.
